Our camp is small and run by local Thai people with the intention that tourists who visit get the feeling they are more an ‘invited guest’ through their exposure to local Thai traditions and cultures.
Community SupportWe engage and support all local-run groups that aim to protect and conserve the island against encroaching developments, and the side-effects on the native species of the island. We also are very supportive of local-run businesses, actively encouraging our guests to shop locally, and to avoid shopping in the larger chain shops. With new chain stores and supermarkets being continually built on Koh Chang, competition for trade is proving fiercely detrimental to small, local-run, businesses. Therefore, all of our food, drinks and produce are bought locally to ensure good trade relations between our business and trade in the local village.
Local EmploymentAll of our staff are from the local village of Klong Son. The only non-locals are therapists or teachers in yoga, meditation, reiki and massage. We do, however, aim to include as many locals as possible in all aspects of our traditional healing techniques.
