Chang Noi Beach, located due northwest of Jungle Way, nestles quietly in the sheltered Klong Son Bay. Known by several names (Chang Noi Beach, Klong Son Bay, Son Bay, Premwadee Beach), Chang Noi Beach does not suffer the throngs of tourists which dominate the west coast beaches. The bay is estuarine, meaning it is shallow, and despite a relatively sandy beach, silt and mud are common during low tide due to the Klong Son River entering the bay at the southern end of the beach. Despite this downside, the beach is all but deserted most of the day, and provides a long, quiet, hassle-free place to chill out and relax.

However, the downside to an explosive tourism increase on the island has resulted in the entire length being recently purchased by a Swiss property development consortium, Siam Royal View. So, get along to Chang Noi Beach before it too is consumed by the mass tourism market!

At the southern end of the beach, on the river estuary, the land is still occupied by a small traditional Thai fishing village. At present there are no restaurants or shops on the pier, but with the advent of the Siam Royal View development, this will soon change. Jungle Way's boat trips leave from the pier in this small village (see the map below for the village location).
