Therapeutic massage is the manipulation of the soft tissue of whole body areas to bring about generalised improvements in health, such as relaxation, or improved sleep, or specific physical benefits, such as relief of muscular aches and pains. It involves the systematised manipulation of soft tissues for the purpose of normalising them. Practitioners use a variety of physical methods including applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, or, causing movement to the body. Therapists primarily use their hands, but may also use their forearms, elbows, or feet. The basic goal of massage therapy is to help the body heal itself.

Most Jungle Way courses contain either elements or a core of massage teaching. Check out our courses page to see whether we currently have a course including massage.
