The interpretation of ‘trekking’ means different things to different people. Couple that with the fact that everyone's trekking ability and fitness levels are different and you have have the recipe for confusion. Our treks are not excessively difficult, but everyone has different ideas on what ‘difficult’ actually means. Here we attempt to qualify our trek difficulty; but bear in mind, our grading system serves only as a guide. Please contact us if you are still unsure whether you are capable of undertaking a trek. Below, we outline the levels of difficulty you are likely to encounter during one of our treks, and the sort of fitness you would reasonably need. Remember our treks are only one-day or over-night on special request.

STRENUOUS

- The most difficult treks, involving many long days, often in isolated areas. A high level of fitness and previous trekking experience is essential. Jungle Way does not currently run any treks which fall in this category.

DEMANDING

- physically challenging but suitable for regular hill walkers who are used to long days and are competent over difficult terrain. These treks will include extended periods in dense jungle, and challenging hill ascents.

MODERATE

- suitable for most hill walkers, involving relatively short days on paths and tracks. A reasonable level of fitness is required as these treks can involve considerable amounts of ascent and descent.

EASY

- suitable for most people in good health, these trips include a short element of trekking which is always on good paths.

Jungle Way currently operates only one trek which we call the Jungle Way Trek. We have placed the Jungle Way Trek into the moderate category. Our previous Chang Noi Trek has been discontinued due to the development of the Siam Royal View Resort restricting our access to Chang Noi Peninsula.

If you feel you are still unsure about whether you will be suitably fit enough for our treks, please contact us before you book your trek.
